As normal programs we can uninstall Babylon directly from Add/Remove programs. But it doesn't remove Babylon 100%. You can check it by trying to search something using a browser(Firefox, Chrome). Type something in the URL tab in your Mozilla Firefox. It will automatically give a Babylon search result. This is so bad. I spent few hours searching a way of fixing this issue. I could not found a complete set of instructions to do this for free. Finally I could find a way to fix this issue for free. Here is what worked for me. I'm using windows 7 and my browser is Mozilla Firefox.
Note: You have to uninstall Firefox completely.
- Go to this page and follow Babylon Automatic Removal Instructions.
- Go to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins and delete babylon xml file.
- Go to Add/Remove program. If there is anything like Babylon uninstall.
- Do a search in C:\Program Files folder. If you find any Babylon files delete all of them.
- Finally go to Add/Remove program and uninstall Firefox completely. While uninstalling make sure tick the check box to delete history as well.
- Finally install Firefox and install all add-ones and all those what you had before.
